Update !

Much thought went in to my document assignment!

I am still having trouble seeing the photos from an outsider’s point of view, but I’m slowly getting there. For me it has been a challenge at times, as I’m expected to capture photos for this major assessment piece; however at the same time, I’m required to participate fully within my musical theatre production. I’ve been told on occasions to put my camera away, although I’ve continued to secretly capture photos for this project – ‘That’s what we ‘photographers’ do!

I’ve noticed a great improvement within my photos, as this project progresses. I’ve been able to refer to previous photos to determine aspects that I can improve on, for example; the lighting of the setting is really bad, therefore I had to adjust my photo’s into faded colours (in terms of the production process); as I believe it portrays the experience effectively.

I will continue to take photos of this musical experience, as well as ensuring that I capture new and exciting things to effectively demonstrate the purpose of my project for my audience.

Folio Proposal; The Making of Jesus Christ Super Star.

The Making of Jesus Christ Super Star.

I am involved in musical theatre and have the opportunity to document and show people the making and back stage of a show. I would like to show what's involved with the making and the challenges faced, and the fun as well. It is a scary process especially for first time performers.

I might document one persons experience as a first time performer as I know from experience it's one of the best things I've ever been through. The bond you make with the people become your family and even closing night you get a little post show depression because it's over.

I want people from these photographs to feel the emotion from side stage of what it feels like when you hear the band start playing and you know you are about to go on stage. And you know you're involved in a show that is making a lot of people happy and they enjoy the experience.

The Balance of a Photographer.

To document and follow the life of a photographer; preferably a women, i.e. Belinda J I would like to portray the work life balance between being a provider, mother, business owner/ professional photographer and teacher.

I would like to help show audience ways of time management and a full on life; also the emotions and the success behind the cover.
